The Solar Innovation Center is a one-of-a-kind visitor experience center at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park. At the Center, visitors can learn about the different methods and technologies used to harness clean energy.
Visitors will see how clean energy can be used to power their everyday lives, and how it is becoming an increasingly important part of Dubai’s sustainable future.

The Solution
Oxford Integration delivered an innovative exhibit called The Photovoltaic, designed to educate visitors about solar panel technology and performance through a hands-on, interactive experience.
The ultra-stretch screen serves as the backdrop, displaying five categories related to solar panels. When the transparent OLED screen aligns with a specific category, its content dynamically updates to display detailed information. Precision laser sensors and advanced software detect the position of the OLED screen, ensuring seamless content synchronization.
The transparent OLED screen offers in-depth, interactive exploration of solar technology.
Visitors can:
- Inspect the layers of solar cells and modules.
- Learn about the advantages, disadvantages, and peak efficiencies of different generations of solar panels.
- Experiment with three mini-interactive scenarios that demonstrate the effects of illumination, shading, and temperature on solar panel output.
Visitors can adjust sunlight intensity, apply shading, and heat panels to see live changes in voltage and current outputs on a graph, offering a deeper understanding of photovoltaic systems.
